Luei

The Caretaker

Luei is like a big teddy bear. She lets hatchlings cling to her sides at night, or just day at all, sharing her warmth. She never questioned why they did that, nor minded it. She also teaches hatchlings to respect their surroundings and how to gather for the clan without damaging the ecosystem. However, she does not teach them to hunt. She prefers leaving this task to dragons who are more used to that stuff than her.

She is one of the dragons in charge of the food. Every morning you can see a shadow with a touch of lilac go into the closest forest, later coming back with tons of vegetables and leaves in a big piece of fabric. It is usually around noon, but sometimes she will get distracted by a new river, or a new lake, and get lost. She always returns by night, though.

Her familiar, Reihu the heartred croaker, helps her find her way when she wanders. She also tries to warn Luei when she strays from the path, but it almost never works, Luei being too engrossed by whatever she has found. But if another dragon is with them to gather food, she will warn them that Luei is going away instead.
