Aldebaran does not remember much of her early life. She does remember isolation, and long nights under the clear sky, staring up at the stars and constellations overhead. As she grew, she learned to call these stars by name.

Without a name of her own, she chose to take her name from the star Aldebaran, in the constellation Taurus. As Matriarch, she gives an astronomical name to each newcomer of the clan to show they have earned their place. For many, it is the first name they have ever known.

Aldebaran keeps order, welcomes new dragons, and sends youth of the clan off to serve the Gods or to seek their own fates. She is a fearsome warrior on the battlefield, fighting in the name of the Windsinger, who gave her, and many others, a home on the Windswept Plateau.
