◈ Alaska ──────────────────── Exalted to his ranks, Alaska once held the favor of the Icewarden. Despite the journey of her Search leaving her fruitless and alone, she managed to find a purpose serving her deity. There was some solace, even as they wished on sleepless nights that they could choose him as a charge. Wishful, silly thinking, for she was not his protector, merely one among many carrying out his will. They continued to work under him, until they found themself walking the halls of the Fortress of Ends itself. That's where they found her. Nettle. In the upper layers, where collections of preserved curiosities gave way to prisoners. This Mirror was there, tucked away in some forgotten cell. Her eyes sharing the cold gaze of the Icewarden, even as her wings were bound with the grip of his claws and chains. Alaska did not know quite how, but she understood. This was her charge. The escape was messy, fogged with adrenaline, and a decision she didn't process until much later, when it was far too late to go back. This was not a move that the Icewarden would take lightly - it ran directly counter to everything his dragons should be. Now she was here, breathing in frost colored air, in the domain of a deity she had betrayed. There's a clan now, other dragons whose presence lets her breath a little easier, lets her close her eyes and imagine a life comfortable and unafraid. She knows that they are being hunted. She knows that they cannot stay here and there is nowhere for them to go. She knows she has already failed to protect her charge.
