If Capli is the brains, Ritto is the brawn. Even though he is so docile, he is protective of his position in the clan, and is very willing and capable of fighting for it. So far, his biggest rival is Grisaille, the captain of the gathering teams. Ritto, on top of pushing his weight around, is very empathetic. He considers it his personal duty to know everyone and check on how they're doing. Since Capli isn't very strong or sociable, it often falls upon Ritto to break up fights and resolve disagreements.

As lightning dragons, Ritto and his adoptive mother never quite fit in with the rest of his ice dragon clan, and the two of them wandered off into the snowy wastes together. They lived side-by side for years, until Ritto's mother eventually died of infection after an encounter with a plague dragon. After burying her corpse, Ritto left the ice territory and wandered for several years, until he stumbled across Capli entirely by mistake. Ritto, still devastated after the loss of his mother, bonded to her instantly. Though Capli uses him mostly for heavy lifting, he seems blissfully unaware.

Ritto, after years of living alone, doesn't do anything quickly. He has absolutely no sense of haste, which grinds on Capli's nerves. He is kind and gentle, with an enviable sense of humor. If anything has ever bothered him, it's gone to the grave with the memory of his mother. His only real dislike is Plague dragons, whose presence he tries to limit.
