B I O G R A P H Y

The strict guardian of the Astreon dungeons. The Mirror was not ready for the torment that was about to befall him...

______ Honored's children were one of the first to fall.

______ The Mirror sustained his everyday duties of patrolling the halls and observing the inmates of Astreon's dungeons. He had let his son and daughter run free, but warned them to be careful. He watched his lovely children dash down the hall in a quick game of tag, the pair giggling as they tried to snatch each other's tails in their jaws. The proud father continued down the opposite way with a smile plastered on his face.

______ Time had barely passed when Honored heard the pained cries of his two hatchlings. He scrambled towards the voices, charging through the spiraling dungeons with nothing but fatherly worry propelling him. His worry increased as he ran closer to Kali's cell, hoping she did not do anything dastardly to them.

______ Bursting into the beast's cell, his jaw dropped, spotting his children before him... covered in darkness. They looked up at him, chirping as if they were just born anew. Honored's wings drooped and he stamped his foot against the goop covered cell, screaming in pure, unbridled rage.

______ His roars echoed through the Astreon castle, and Kali burst out in laughter at a similar volume, silencing the Mirror as she placed a dripping, bloody claw on Honored's shoulder. The beast smiled, jagged teeth somehow gleaming in the darkness of corruption that covered her cell.

______ "Ah... it seems your children belong to me now~" cooed Kali. "Don't feel bad... They feel so much better~" She picked up Vigil, Honored's son, watching as he chirped with hints of fear that slowly consumed the happy noises he used to make when he was free from Kali's grasp. "He is only temporarily scarred. Soon... Soon they will both enjoy their new forms... You should be thrilled... happy, HONORED. Eheheh..."

______ With the dragon's words, a horrible realization crept over Honored, his world shattering like a frail vase falling from atop a cliff.

______ He would have to get rid of his only children, for the sake of the empire.

______ ...

______ The Mirror now walks through the much quieter halls of the dungeon, hoping to see his children every moment he turns a corner. But to his dismay, he knew he would never see them again. He knew what he did was right, but he didn't want to believe it.

______ He hoped he could see them once more.
