Biography

Princess lives up to her name, ruling her clan with compassion and reigning terror upon all who would oppose her. She's a warrior at heart, and always picked fights as a hatchling. Her hot blood lead her to leave her parents' nest as soon as she was old enough. Soon she was roaming the forest, learning the hard way how to both inflict wounds and bandage them. Eventually her recklessness would cost her.
She was off picking fights and chanced upon a plague dragon. Having the element of surprise she dove down upon him. About to take the larger dragon out of the sky, she stopped short upon getting a closer look at her victim. He was held aloft by wings barely more than bone and and sinew. Angry sores oozed on his flanks and bared muscle and bone could be seen. Her horror caused a hesitation that nearly killed her.
Alerted to Princess's presence, the Plague dragon struck. Princess regained her wits and tried to dodge away from the larger dragon barreling down on her. Tainted jaws snapped on air, but a festering claw still managed a scratch on the Fae. Immediately the wound burned with contagion. Distracted by the unexpected burning, Princess didn't notice that her foe's surprisingly nimble turn to attack a second time. Sharp teeth pierced Princess's shoulder and a claw tore across her face. Her body now burned with fever and she went limp in the dragon's jaws.
Princess awoke disoriented in a bed. The walls looked to be the inside of a giant tree, and there were rows of beds with injured dragons in them to her left. Bandages on the right side of her face prevented her from seeing anything on that side, and moving hurt too much to survey more of the room. An attendant saw she was awake and came over to the bedridden dragon.
the attendant told Princess what had happened, that she had been found by another Fae near the edge of the Labyrinth. She'd been on the ground, festering and feverish, and he risked plague himself in taking her to this small healing order of the Gladekeeper's. She was near death when they had arrived and the attendants rushed her to a quarantined area where they could heal her without fear of the plague spreading to others. They managed to heal most of her wounds, and remove the worst of the plague from her body, but they couldn't save her eye.
Princess later learned that Drake had been the one who'd saved her, and was intrigued that this small Fae had shown such courage, a trait held in high esteem. When she was first able to walk freely, the orange Fae sought out this Drake. Soon they were finding excuses to spend time together. Eventually Princess was deemed free to leave the abbey, and she met with Drake to come before the Gladekeeper to start their own clan.
She now holds a great deal of respect for Plague dragons, as it is a rare thing another dragon defeat her in a fight, and one of her first sons, Orpheus, has gone off to a Plague clan. Despite missing an eye, Princess is still a fearsome fighter and now strikes down foes in the name of the Gladekeeper.
