Write a new piece of lore for a chance to win prizes!

The contest is simple: write a new piece of lore, and share it here for a chance to win prizes! ! Please read the rules and guidelines below. Entries that fail to meet these guidelines will be disqualified from the prize pool. If your entry is disqualified, you will receive a PM explaining why, and how to resolve it if you wish to re-submit your entry.

CONTEST RULES & GUIDELINES Each participant may write and submit one entry of their own Flight Rising lore, involving the participant's own dragons. You are permitted to withdraw your submission from the contest at any time, and are consequently allowed to enter a new submission afterward. Maximum 3 total attempts per user, including the original entry. Requesting edits to the original submission count as a withdrawal.

[*]No entries will be copied, repurposed, or profited from as a result of this contest. The contest is entirely to encourage your own creation, and will not be used by the runners of this contest. It goes without saying, but entrants are not entitled to the use of others' work.

You retain all rights to your work, and are of course free to use the lore you write (winning or otherwise) however you like.


[*]Plagiarism and "troll" submissions will earn a ban from the contest entirely. This should be self-explanatory.

WRITING GUIDELINES

• Make a new entry! Editing existing lore or submitting your lore as-is goes against the spirit of the contest, and is considered an unfair time advantage over entries that were started after the contest began.
  • Completely re-writing old lore concepts is acceptable, though we still ask you put in the effort to make it new and original. It is the use/reuse of existing writing that we want to avoid.
• Use your own writing! Plagiarism from any source (including off-site) will not be tolerated. Please use your own words and story elements and refrain from copying lore written by others - contest-related or otherwise.
• This is YOUR lore! Your entry Cameos from canon lore, other lairs, and exalted dragons are acceptable, but should not be the focus of your entry.
• The ideal length for your entry is "however much you need to communicate your story." Our recommended length is 3 to 12 paragraphs long; longer entries may be accepted.
