With a gardener and a botanist, Cleotilde took the product of their hard work and made food stores. Managing food for a clan is hard enough, and one would think that a small veilspun clan living off of a large imperial is easy work in terms of food stores, but veilspun eat far more calories than most dragons. Their tiny bodies need so much energy to fly around, communicate, move, that with all of them combined it's almost enough for a whole other imperial!
Granted that's still manageable for most large-dragon clans.
But their clan is different, making sure to make just enough for all of them an just enough to survive a bad season. She's not stingy with the food but she is frugal. Everyone deserves a treat and she's not going to deny them, but it does come at the cost of either extra work or maybe a month of no treats, but she plots the land and does the math to make sure everyone can have a treat day all year long.
She needs to be reminded to treat herself sometimes, because she'd rather make sure everyone gets a good bite of food before she does, which leads to her eating the less desirable plants more often than not.
