Leader of the group, Arktos is extremely fierce and protective. She will protect her mate, Artimus to the death. Despite their extreme size difference, Arktos is both gentle and loving for her mate and young. As leader of the clan, Arktos sees each individual as family and expects each to do their job. Though she may seem callous or rigid at times, she has a deep love for every member in her clan but struggles to show it due to her warrior's personality.

During the Riot of Rot, the chaos of the celebration had prompted several thieves to try and sneak into other territories. Arktos fought off several of them who had been stealing supplies and harassing the clan. The fight became deadly when the marauders attempted to kill a youngling in their haste to escape. Arktos was cut, leaving a deep scar over her right eye. She no longer wears her helmet in order to show her scar, as a reminder to intruders that death will come to those who try to hurt her clan. The thieves left one of their familiars behind, whom Arktos is oddly fond of. She has kept him at her side, and despite his strange looks, her familiar is very neutral with a friendly disposition.

Her girls Astrid, Dusky, Daenerys and Boreal, as well as her sons Callani and Timbre, have all decided they want to be exalted and serve their deity, Stormcatcher. They see their mother as a warrior and inspiration to themselves and to the clan which influenced their decision to be exalted. Arktos is extremely proud of her young and their decision.
