Mirrors tend to fare better in the cesspool that is the Scarred Wasteland. It's highly unusual for these vicious beasts to stray far from the decaying homeland. One such family found a home in Light territory and hatched a clutch of eggs. These hatchlings seemingly were born with very thin skin. Their lean muscles pushed up against their skin and pulsated with each breath. The outline of their skeletons were easily seen. Ironic that a retched place like the Scarred Wasteland would have been a better place to raise a clutch of Mirrors. Fearing that their children wouldn't last long in their birthland, they were sent off to find a more hospitable territory.
Barry was the first to find shelter. Due to the thinness of his skin, Barry was quick to dehydrate. He stumbled towards the Sea in an attempt to quench his thirst. The hatchling grew dizzy as his vision began to go black. While getting a drink, he slipped into unconsciousness and fell into the water. Barry sank towards the bottom of the Sea. Luckily, he was pulled to safety before he could drown. Barry awoke to a long, lanky figure looming over him. He coughed and sputtered as water was forced from his lungs. The Mirror blinked as the figure above looked relieved. He looked around the stone den, noticing all of the various shelves filled with specimen jars and strange tools. Barry didn't understand what all that was, or why he was there. A small frightened hiss escaped his jaws. Being that he was so small and non-threatening, the figure just gave an amused smile. Barry finally looked to her and realized that she was indeed a dragon, albeit a species he had never encountered before. Cythemia formally introduced herself as the Hyannis Clan's resident surgeon. She told the hatchling how she had spotted him floating down to the sand and she rescued him from certain death. Coming to the conclusion that the Mirror was an orphan, Cythemia decided to adopt him. Barry didn't object to this as he was lifted into the Imperial's arms. Not long after he fell asleep did Palindrome come and check in with his mate. He was a little unsure about taking on a hatchling such as Barry, but he always did what made Cythemia happy. --Lore to continue--
