THE CONVOY OF THE WITHERED

Iron Ore
There is the soft creak of wooden flooring and the jingle of strangely lit lanterns clanking together as they hang in knotted chains. Bubbles and sloshing noises come from cauldrons of inconspicuous liquid. “Who goes there…” You had made little to no noise, yet somehow the voice in the distance still heard you…. “In all my days, no mere traveler has entered my abode… let alone amongst The Withered…". A dragon appears before you, and one that is the least from friendly looking. "I will not decline you my service though... I suppose you deserve a welcoming."

THE LAND OF THE WITHERED
"Many moons ago, after the presence of the deities had come to a final halt, an ill-willing, evil divine being reigned down upon the once nation of fire. The being casted a mass scaled and detrimental curse upon this land and the dragons that resided in it. The curse was created as a slow burn, the dragons slowly being completely taken over by the plague with age, soon to become ravage monsters to conduct havoc and horror across The Hazarath. The Hazarath Estate, also known as The Castle was created to slain the dragons that had fallen completely under the curse. All that is left after hundreds of years is the remains of bloodlines still trapped in "the Withering" curse. The dragons here have no choice but to remain... as it is only a now a source of refuge. "The Withered" are the prodigies and failures of a pas crisis, all sent to fend off the plague and its aftermath, or choose their own paths. Those who were unscathed from the curses powerful charms quickly took leave, and fled. As once the nation of fire, the previous dragons formed a new nation without the deities known as The Crater... they are the lucky ones..."


"We are not evil beings, we were forced to not be good... and so traveler, as you enter The Withered, be upmost mindful. This is no land for the lighthearted and weak. You will come across the depraved and ravaged, the poor and evil. You must protect yourself, yet be understanding. You hall be treated fairly, if done the same. There are good beings here, but you must search out to find them.."
