Biography
Combination Legacy of War + Basic to Rare Breeding Challenge
Ultimate Goal: From a lineage begun by a Common dragon with three Basic genes, produce a dragon of Rare breed with three Rare genes.
Process: The current heir of the lineage will choose a mate with a breed and genes only 1 step up from theirs (Plentiful > Common > Uncommon > Limited > Rare; see gene chart). They will produce one (1) nest, and one hatchling will be chosen to continue the legacy. This process will repeat until a dragon who inherits the less common genes/breed is the heir, eventually resulting in a full Rare.
Complications: Same-generation siblings will compete against each other to earn the right to carry on the bloodline. The winner may or may not be the hatchling who inherited the better genes/breed, but strength and resilience matter more than chance appearances.
Competition: Each hatchling, once adult, will be guided through the Coliseum for six levels of training by an experienced mentor. No skill points will be spent, and their KOs throughout their training will be tracked. The hatchling with the fewest KOs will become the heir. If there is a tie or near-tie, skill points will be distributed across STR/INT, QCK, and VIT identically for each contender, then the dragons will venture into the Scorched Forest without their mentor's protection. No potions or fleeing allowed. The last one standing is the heir.
Generation One
x
Catalyst (Nature unusual) - Mirror female - Basic/Basic/Basic - Marigold/Tarnish/Purple - Founder
Tracer (Plague uncommon) - Spiral male - Piebald/Paint/Underbelly - Yellow/Grapefruit/White - 6g
Their babs:
Gin (Nature common) - Mirror female - Basic/Basic/Underbelly - Buttercup/Ivory/Oilslick
Tonic (Nature common) - Mirror female - Basic/Basic/Underbelly - Ivory/Slate/Orca
Synope (Nature rare) - Spiral female - Basic/Basic/Basic - Yellow/Pumpkin/Plum
Not bad! Everyone has either a gene upgrade or a breed upgrade. Now to wait until they're adults so they can duke it out over inheritance.
The first heir: Synope
It was a close run, but in the end Synope came out just ahead of her sisters.
Generation Two
x
Synope (Nature rare) - Spiral female - Basic/Basic/Basic - Yellow/Pumpkin/Plum
Wyrril (Light unusual) - Skydancer male - Savannah/Safari/Thylacine - Bronze/Marigold/Marigold - 5g
They had exactly 1 egg together, BUT she has not one but TWO gene upgrades! Not bad, all told!
Jaz (Nature Unusual) - Spiral female - Savannah/Basic/Thylacine - Banana/Orange/Storm
The second heir: Jaz
Generation Three
x
Jaz (Nature Unusual) - Spiral female - Savannah/Basic/Thylacine - Banana/Orange/Storm
Senne (Arcane Goat) - Obelisk male - Jaguar/Striation/Sparkle - Fire/Saffron/Cantaloupe
Their babs:
Amazonite (Nature Pastel) - Spiral female - Savannah/Striation/Thylacine - Terracotta/Cantaloupe/Shamrock
Hunter (Nature Common) - Spiral female - Jaguar/Basic/Sparkle - Bronze/Sunset/Caribbean
Amazonite has one upgrade (Secondary gene) and Hunter has two (Primary and Tertiary genes), buuut I'm kinda rooting for Amazonite because I think she looks cooler (and has pretty eyes). So let's go through the Coliseum to see which sister survives.
The third heir: Hunter (who had a third of the KOs that Amazonite did)
Generation Four
x
Hunter (Nature Common) - Spiral female - Jaguar/Basic/Sparkle - Bronze/Sunset/Caribbean
Eiriol (Light Uncommon) - Skydancer male - Poison/Striation/Veined - Cornflower/Pearl/Banana
They have two eggs! Let's see who hatches...
