Midna is a rather mischievous imperial, and is incredibly self-motivated, often going out of her way to achieve her own goals and dragging others into her plans, with little regard to how it might affect them. She is daring and not afraid to take chances, incredibly confident in her abilities, and rightly so. Midna has something of a commanding presence about her, with a playful twist that can often be interpreted as charming.

Being as headstrong and audacious as she is, her nature can be intimidating or even irritating to those around her, but those few that prove their loyalty and worth to Midna will receive it in kind. Once a dragon has gained her respect, she can be an invaluable ally willing to tough it out through the worst of times to see the end goal successfully completed.

Midna met her mate, Twigleg, through fairly awkward circumstances that forced the two to unwillingly have to work together to overcome their trials. Having completely contrasting natures, with Midna being a more aggressive, direct individual and Twigleg being a timid, shy nocturne by nature, this undoubtedly caused several issues for them both. Although they were, at first, reluctant about this situation, the two eventually formed a strong bond that allowed them to push forwards and conquer all of the hindrances barring their way. Nowadays, they make an impressive, unstoppable team when they decide to face new challenges, gaining strength from each other and proving that cooperation is one of the best paths to victory.

TRIVIA
  • Midna and her mate, Twigleg, share a spider-related theme. While Twigleg was created from a spider by an alchemist in the book Dragon Rider, Midna has an arachnid form when donning the full power of the Fused Shadows.
  • I find her breed - Imperial - to be rather fitting, as she is both an “imp” within Twilight Princess as well as of royal bloodline to the Twili, her race.
  • Midna’s relationship with her mate Twigleg is a parallel to both the relationship with Link she has in the game she hails from, as well as Lola Greytail’s relationship with Twigleg from the book he is featured in.
