Biography
The Right Hand
Mavi found himself traveling by Beryl's home during one of her singing sessions, and while normally the sound of fluctuating tones would have not truly interested a Fae, for some reason Mavi found himself drawn to stay for a while longer, though he would tell himself that he was only staying because of the delicious foods that were gently sprayed with sea salt.
For a while, he hid from Beryl and observed her from afar, only coming near when she sang. This lasted until one day, when he got near enough to get caught snooping on one of her sessions, and he flew away so fast that he didn't see the tree branch until he'd made contact with it. THWAK!!.
Beryl took him in so he wouldn't sleep in the hot sun, and when he woke, she told him that he could stay. Mavi agreed, but only so he could discover why he wasn't confused about those sounds she made. Or, more like why he wasn't his normal confused, this was a whole new kind of confusion. As it would turn out, for the first time in his life, Mavi was twitterpated, and it wasn't even springtime.
Mavi started to ask Beryl all kinds of questions, "What's your favorite color? Food? You're favorite anything?", he started to get up earlier and go to sleep later to ensure he didn't miss Beryl's singing. He found pretty shells and flowers to give her, and finally Mavi did what he was most nervous to do:
Mavi proclaimed his feelings to Beryl, through song, as song as a song could be when a Fae tries to use different tones for the first time anyway. However terrible the sounds he produced were, Beryl accepted his feelings and gave him hers. Now Mavi continues to create music, but through instruments rather than his voice.
Also, I like to imagine that he's playing a tiny pipe organ.
