Badlands

"Despite being named Exile, this town isn't that bad. We're very close here in Exile, and it's a very nice community! The buildings and dragons here are quite shady, but they're more afraid of you than you are of them. Ah, I should probably explain why the dragons seem so shady, heh? Well.. that's where the name comes in. You see, this little town is full of dragons that were exiled from their previous clan. It's a safe space for them! No, no-no-no-no-- don't leave! They wouldn't hurt a fly! E-eh-- there are also dragons that just kind of.. accidentally stumbled upon this little community, heh. Kind of like myself! You know, I adventured a little too far out of the Starfall Isles and.. ended up here! It's quite a beautiful thing, heh! You'll notice that there is quite an abundance of Aberrations here, which isn't a concern. If you really want to know--... eh- there isn't really a reason for it. Hm? D'oh! I didn't hesitate-- I was just.. thinking. Well, have you decided if you want to stay? Yeah? Nice! Would you like a library card? Swaggin'! Oh, that term isn't cool anymore..?"

Badlands, often referred to as Mesa by residents of Exile, is a cartographer and librarian. Badlands is a huge fan of helping other dragons, so he helps dragons around the village with small favors. He enjoys it very much, and the other dragons enjoy the help! He’s always the one to greet new arrivals and guide them around Exile, and possibly even supply maps and books. He actually has his own small library, and most dragons in Exile keep their library cards on them. Badlands is very extroverted, smart, and is actually helpful, as described by other dragons. How he got here is a common question, as he seems way too nice to commit a crime. The answer is, he is too nice to commit a crime, he just accidentally joined the mafia. Bandlands used to be nomadic, and he travelled to several different places to fuel his love for exploring and meeting new dragons. He stumbled across Exile while travelling, and asked, "Hey, can I stay here?" and Exile basically said "Sure, but you're gonna get stalked for a few months until we decide that you're not getting kicked out. By the way, this village is full of thugs." and Badlands was like, "Okay."
