One of the clan's progenitors, originally Voidling took to Seiryu and decided to stay in the area, ensuring her right to the territory by seducing the guardian. However, having little patience for nesting, she preferred to range far and wide, scouting the environment while Seiryu took care of their nest. It's impossible to say whether that or something else was the cause of what happened with their children - weak upon hatching to the point where the choice was between letting them die or sending them directly to Shadowbinder to save them.

Voidling took the loss of her children hard, holding it as Seiryu's fault as she'd left him responsible for taking care of the eggs. She stayed, though, gravitating naturally to the mysterious dragon that already inhabited the dark hollow the clan was founded in. Unfortunately for her, Nero had no interest in her and though she keeps in check and organises the very nearly sub-clan of neophytes under him, she has only very recently, after a freak accident on one of her far-ranging hunts into a neighbouring region caused her to aberrate, found a like-minded and homogenous group of minions and consorts, settling down to whatever extent one such as her can.
