Renoir is a background and prop artist for the theater. His style is more focused on setting the mood rather than realism, which is why if his creations were to be examined up close they wouldn't have the impact they have on stage. It's grand and colorful, with lighting play that makes the tech department hide in shame. If the theater didn't use dream magic in their performances, his pieces would steal the show. His only problem is Alice the intern. She's made of ink, so everything she touches is ruined and she seems glued to him like a stick in the mud. Renoir hates to admit it, but her accidental additions are actually helpful to his pieces, giving them a punch he wouldn't have normally thought of. Although he pretends to be angry at her, he enjoys her company and seeks her out on her days off. He doesn't know it yet, but he's developing a crush on her. He currently lives in a small studio in Murkbarrow Close, hidden in some dark alley with other small cheap rooms. The appartment is a mess, with paint, laundry and paper and canvas pieces scattered all around as if they were hurled in there at 100mp/h. Renoir is usually focused on his work and forgets to clean up. On his free time he likes exploring darker topics too, perhaps inspired by the gloominess of the city, using large canvases and mixed media. Together with some other underground artists, he takes part in art showcases around Murkbarrow. These are usually held in places such as cafes and taverns, rather than an organised gallery with critics and collectors. Renoir is proud of the work he and his fellow artists put out. |
