Neige

Neige is the Clan Leader and Matriarch. Her charge is the Lair in which they live.

Neige was born as a wild dragon from an abandoned egg. She made due for a long time, surviving off of whatever she could find. Fortunately the area she resided in was quite far from any lairs or Beast Clans, providing a relatively safe environment. Her beginning of The Search was very gradual, as the unforgiving environment she called home only had scarce resources, but as she grew to adulthood, gliding the skies in her Search became a breeze.
Years passed this way, earning her a lot of knowledge about the different types of dragons inhabiting this world. It was a foolish coincidence that should lead her to find her charge.

During a long flight parallel with the shores of the Southern Icefield, Neige accidentally bothered a clan of Centaurs. Being quite tired, her dodges were slower than usual, and one of their spears makes a clean shot, breaking one of the bones in her wing. She plummeted to the ground, crash landing several kilometers from the Centaur Clan.
Very shaken, she passed out for a few hours and woke up to the sight of a much bigger male Guardian. Scrum, as he was called, told her that he too was on the search for his charge and was just passing by when he heard the noise from her crash. He offered to help her at least get further into the land, so they could find a place to rest for the night, and she agreed. He told her to rest, and took off. When she woke up, he had returned with bandages from the Centaur Clan. It didn't look like they'd given them up willingly.
They wandered up in the land for several hours, with the weather steadily worsening. By nightfall they could hardly see a claw before them, yet Neige managed to spot an odd indent in a cliff wall. With mutual help, they scratched away most of the frost and snow, finding an abandoned lair behind it. It didn't look like there had been a dragon there for many moons. They took shelter there for the night, huddling up to keep warm.
By morning, Neige opened her eyes to the weirdest feeling. It was a serene feeling she had never had in her life. It felt like home. Was it Scrum? .. No, it was this place, this old abandoned lair.
Her charge.

She founded the clan with Scrum on that day. Out of pure relief from finally finding her charge, she consumated with him. As more dragons began to join, they agreed to co-lead it, but with time he showed himself to be both incompetent, greedy and powerhungry. It eventually lead to a fierce life and death match between the two, one she would most likely not have won if it wasn't for a mix of her upbringing in the wild and the fat that Scrum had gotten weak and fat during his reign. She spared his life for saving hers on that day with the Centaur Clan, allowing him to stay if he so wished, but on the condition that he lived as equal with the workers. He was hardly thankful, and has moved to the deepest furthest inch of the lair.

The other dragons think of her as a just leader. They ask her for advice and seek her guidance, and even if she cannot help them with their problem, she will know exactly which of the other dragons have the capacity to help them. Being in the lair and seeing it flourish brings her happiness and energy, and such is needed to make sure everyone gets along. She makes certain everyone are distributed to tasks suited best for their competences if possible. She can be quite intimidating if she wants to - her formal tone tends to indimidate newcomers, but she tries her best to make them feel welcome and safe nonetheless.

She doesn't mind watching the hatchlings when the others are busy. Since the fight with Scrum, she has taken up Coliseum Battles to make certain that she can take him down for good, should he or any other dragon pose a threat to her lair again.

Neige has had a consort in form of Nerissa, an older Skydancer, but has recently found herself utterly infatuated with a young charming Guardian called Linus.
All of her offspring are serving the Deities, most of them The Icewarden. Of those, she misses her daughter Sascha the most - however, the loss of Duchess was the initial reason she took Aurora in; Duchess was always Nerissa's favorite and it near crushed him when she made the decision to leave. She always had her mother's spirit, he would usually say.


Neige is very fond of puzzles and bears. Her own Polarfreeze Defender is one of her most precious possessions.
