Carcanon is another who works for the Observatorium
via technicality - they're paid by them and inform them
but also remain a little seperate.
Carcanon cuts and imposing figure, quiet and almost
always shrouded by their hood and mask it makes them
out to be far scarier than they are. Not helped by their
career.
Some of the Obvservatorium drgaons have been studying
a nasty mutagenic pathogen that's appears to have
originated in the Plauelands - and it turns creatures
violent and deeply blighted. Carcanon is essentially a
quarantine enforcer, helping to cull the spread of the
blight. Before this, they were more simply a butcher.
However after the small clan they lived in prior was
overtaken, they decided to dedicate themselves to
the containment.

It was them who reached out to the Observatorium
asking for help and hoping the over curious scholars
and explorers would at least find it a point of interest,
if nothing else. They've been working beside them ever
since, and it's common they teach and lead any explorers
who come to the area.

Despite their dire history and appearance, Carcanon is
pretty kindhearted, and perhaps even a bit shy. They struggle
to interact with people, so used to be by themselves.
It's not that much of a surprise that they get along with
Thalass quiet well, being another quiet pseudo-outsider
to the Observatorium.
