A true wildcard at heart, there was little surprise that Deserthawk sought out a scavenging gang instead of a clan. He has a particular passion for causing explosions, both for a purpose and just for fun. There have been times when his unpredictable antics almost got him kicked out of the Rebels. Yet, he always somehow manages to get himself back into Saber's good graces.

As the Rebels' demolitions expert, there is no other familiar for Deserthawk than Harbinger the haunted cannon. Harbinger wheels itself wherever Deserthawk goes and even stands guard over him while he sleeps. Deserthawk himself is not above using Harbinger for some of his explosive stunts.
