Riverstrider

No one is quite sure where Riverstrider came from. She is originally from the Water Flight, but her rather plague-ish colors and often darker demeanor raise some questions. Hamlet has suggested that she is from some of the swampier lands where the Water, Plague and Shadow territories collide. This explanation seems to satisfy most clan members. Though some new members will still raise questions, these questions are met with vagueness and often redirection to Hamlet.

Riverstrider is a diviner by nature, thusly she is often quiet and withdrawn. But as a guardian she is also fiercely loyal to, and protective of, those who have fallen under her care. River never planned on leading a clan, but over time she found herself caring for more and more abandoned hatchlings and misfit dragons.

For years, the clan remained small, and dwelled happily just off the coast of the Tangled Woods. But then, one day, after one of her many scrying sessions, River declared to her small family that they must move on. There was much shock and uproar, especially when she continued on that they were to move to the Southern Icefield. She did not offer much explanation, just that it was for their own safety. Some of the clan moved on at that point, refusing to leave their homeland. But a fair few followed Riverstrider on.

The clan struggled to eek out an existence in the Frigid Floes. In the beginning, it was difficult for such a small clan. And River's clan lost more members, but she was set on her choice and a few loyal clan members stuck it out with her.

Their perseverance paid off in time. As Riverstrider turned her attentions towards gaining favor from their new deity, new members began to stumble their way into the clan. And in time, the clan was able to forge its way into the Snowsquall Tundra where it has grown to impressive size. To this day, River will not explain why they had to leave, but she always seems to be looking over her shoulder.
