Biography

In Finnish folklore Kalma could be elf-like or demonic entities who were attracted by death. They could make the living sick or harm the dead.

Kalma could imprint themselves on people in the graveyard. Then it either makes them sick or follows them while invisible without them knowing.
When walking through a graveyard sometimes people did rituals so Kalma wouldn't imprint themselves on them.

Kalma might come to get you if you are fatally ill. People could not see Kalma unless they were fatally ill or a magician. In some cases animals like horses could sense them.
