Algernon stumbled into his career when he was younger; while exploring deep in an old cave system with some companions, he encountered an old, violent spirit. He was entirely unaffected by it. His natural resistance to the abilities of spirits, mixed with his skeptical attitude concerning them, led him neatly into a career as an exorcist. Algernon makes his living leading travelers through the old tunnels in Dragonhome.

He’s only recently arrived at the Den—for what reason, he won’t say. He lives in a hut on the edge of the territory and frequently disappears for long stretches of time. No one's managed to get to know him well.
