Metalu, like his mate Ashani, was not aware when first he hatched. However, when he woke the first think to catch his eye was a cerulean-colored creature that appeared to be feasting on something.
The creature had escaped him when he followed it, but a Mulberry hatchling caught his attention instead.
Metalu watched Ashani chase the sun for many days, observed impassively as she would leave at dawn and return late at night with a new crystal for her nest. When she was away, he would shore up the walls to ensure she would wake up every day.
Her catching him was not in the plan; however, she only mildly scolded him, then asking him to help her chase the sun.

Talu is usually not amused or surprised by Shani's tendency to "collect" lost or auctioned hatchlings, though he has grown fond of Seadancer (a small fae they took in).
He and Shani are quite proud of their twin hatchlings; Talu was too caught up in the wonder of the pair to be amused at their duality of hue.

Talu has, since the spring shed, displayed a vibrant Ripple pattern in his main fur, and a speckling on his crimson wings.

Talu is a lenient dragon, sweet mannered and quite the prankster in proper circumstances (Dezidi and the others had to learn somewhere). He is Ashani's ground when she goes off the deep end, but he himself is a force to fear. After all, having a dragon who can summon what in all appearances is a chunk of the Crystalspine Reach....well.
