Biography

Anubis, Paladin of death.
R6Vamtb.png

The darkness of evil and the purity of light together consume him, coils through his scales, and enriches his vision. Serving the god of death and with the duty to bring the dead to their proper rest. Lord of the afterlife, give him the strength to pursue the ABOMINATION.

“Anubis... "

A voice from deep within the cavern calls his name, drawing him closer. Every few steps he takes, they call again, and the mushrooms that lit the caverns dim. Not long after, Anubis found himself in complete darkness. He understood what he was doing could be considered foolish by most, but there was some force inside him that insisted he press on and figure out the source of the voice.

"Anubisssss... "

The voice was loud and clear; it had a clicking sound that joined together with the snakey hiss, forming quite a unique voice. Anubis pulled a stick from the satchel wrapped around his neck and lit it ablaze with his breath, holding it ahead of him as he looked for the dragon calling. Barely out of the light, two large, pale green eyes opened, their iris thinning as they focused on him. His eyes alone were nearly twice the size of his body. It lifted its head, extending itself completely out of the light's reach, and, obscured in darkness, the dragon spoke.

"You’re a foolish dragon, Anubis. You willingly walked into what will be your tomb." Anubis’ voice was laden with worry as he replied to the mysterious figure, "What exactly do you want with me?"

The figure snapped its talons; around them, mushrooms lit up, shining light on a mass of bones surrounding them. Anubis gazed upon the bones with a slight sense of terror and confusion, struggling to comprehend why he was surrounded by such death. He had been around death many times—hundreds of times to guide the souls to their proper resting place and put the agitated dead to their final rest, but there was a sense of pure evil about this that put him off.

The aura of this graveyard seemed different than any other—a morbid feeling that sent chills up Anubis's spine. Something about them told him that these weren't the bones of just mammals and reptiles, but perhaps one of his species—dragons. As he thought about it, it all came together neatly like a puzzle.

"You eat dragons, don't you?"

The figure emitted a gnarly laugh, bringing itself down into the brighter light to present itself to him. "You're right," it said. Awe filled Anubis as he realized what he was witnessing, right in front of him: what appeared to be another dragon. It grinned devilishly, its maw opening to reveal rows of razor-sharp teeth. While it had the figure of a dragon, its features were incorrect; it had rows of mandibles across its jaw that extended down its lanky body. Anubis could tell that this "dragon" was something entirely different.

The dragon frowned, disappointed. "You know, I would've expected a scream or something by now, not to be analyzed like some sort of subject. The terror is what makes this the most fun!" Anubis looked up, studying the dragon carefully. "So are you going to keep standing there and let me eat you?" It growled. "I have no reason to fear you," Anubis said with a smile. He knew that this "dragon" was not a threat as of now; it was just trying to scare him away. Besides, if this creature were to eat him, he'd be sent right back by the Lord of Death to continue his duties after getting an earful for not being careful enough.

Anubis squinted, "What are you?"
