a very, very ancient dragon. he's taken great care in life to avoid dying, though the thought has plagued him since his youth. thanks to imperial dragons sporadic lifespans, his brother died at age 7. this event traumatized him, and he has feared death ever since.
as he grew old, augmenting his lifespan with magic, his body began to not be able to keep up. his very skin began to fester and fall off, his bones would no longer support him enough to stand.
he sought out an aspiring team of lightning and fire dragons, who agreed to use technology to artificially strengthen his spine so he could still get around. alongside this, the metal skeleton built into his skin also pumps magic into him from the surrounding air so he is stronger.
many plague dragons commend him for his will, to survive so bravely and for so long.
but in truth, he admits to himself and himself alone, he is simply a coward.
a coward afraid to die.
