Biography
on hold for Cruelty - 3.5kg, holding until payment is sent or 8/1 (august 1) rolls around
Twiglet was a soldier for years. Some would say mercenary, but he would argue that he learned discipline and fighting skill far better than any of the ragtag dragons he saw drafted up for various wars over the years.
To memorialize the dragons he fought under and the campaigns he was in, Twiglet has a massive, sprawling tattoo covering large parts of both sides of his body, and had his pearl painted to match as well. In some parts of Pearlcatcher society — including Twiglet's birth clan — modifying your pearl in any way is as good as throwing it away, because the natural composition of the pearl has been symbolically lost. Twiglet, on the other hand, would argue that just as a natural pearl is a representation of that given Pearlcatcher's memory, a painted pearl takes those memories and gives them a form that is accessible to all dragons, which is ever more important in this age when allegiance falls more and more towards a given flight instead of a given species.
Twiglet retired from his life as a mercenary when his mate, Lique, refused to fight the Beastclans she had befriended. They settled on the coast of the Windswept Plateau where Lique fished and Twiglet traded her catch for the plants that grew further inland. Years of war have made him wary, however, and he rarely takes off his helmet. This has the added effect of making it harder for other dragons to tell that he's not a native of the Wind domain, since they can't see his eyes, and the helmet muffles his voice (and therefore his accent) a little.
Lately, he's been growing restless, and joined the militia that several local clans have set up. He knows his mate has set up a truce with the Maren in the area, and he trusts her —but he doesn't trust the Maren to uphold it, or any of the other Beastclans in the area to not take advantage of even the slightest relaxing of their guard.
