Ambrosia was born to beauty. A perfect hatchling, surrounded by the sweetest pastries, and most delicate desserts. Each day was a dream, and she grew up in a world of her own. A sweet one, unlike any other. So it was to be expected that Ambrosia would become the most endearing of dragons, a truly kind hearted dragon, one who though naive to the troubles of the world, could fix it all in a heartbeat. She learned to bake, and soon she was just as skilled as her parents had been. It was not until they left to pursue bigger dreams that she found herself longing for something more. Ambrosia found that for the first time, her life was not so perfect. She was alone. But what could she do? She loved her little bakery, it's charming pink tables and window seats, and the little silver bell above the door. She had no wish to leave, and so she stayed, and hoped perhaps a friend would come to her. It was, in fact, the little silver bell that told her of a visitor. He seemed a simple customer at first, as he ordered one of Ambrosia's delicate eclairs and sat by the window, watching the clouds wisp past. He left with a smile, and returned the next day, and the next, each time for eclairs and a seat by the window. At last, she found enough courage to talk to him. A pleasant conversation, in which she found out that the coatl's name was Eclair, and he too had grown up in a bakery, much like hers. It grew dark, and he left again, but as Ambrosia cleared the tables she felt happier than she had in quite a while. Eclair's visits became quite regular, and soon he began to help bake the goods. Iced buns, jam tarts, fairy cakes, and of course the fluffiest of eclairs. It wasn't long before Ambrosia offered him a full time job, and he accepted eagerly. And after that, it wasn't long before the two baked the prettiest of wedding cakes together, and ate it whilst draped all in white. Ambrosia's bakery is known all around, for it's splendid cakes and pastries. Dragons from far and wide now come to sample such delights, and though their days of work are long and busy, Eclair and Ambrosia are happy together, at last. |
