Lore Path: Describe why you picked this dragon for the Halloween theme. Was it profession-related (name the job!) or some other intrinsic quality?
Forsaken is a Neutralized Ghoul so I chose to write about her this week in part due to her subspecies name, but also because of some vague ideas I've had about her because of the way her breed and subspecies lore complement each other. Pearlcatchers, as a species, are known for being envious of imperials for the way the Lightweaver created them. Neutralized ghouls are considered the "failures" of the Necromancer subspecies. I felt like these two traits could come together to form some good lore.
Lore Path: Pick a new look for your dragon that fits the Halloween theme.
Lore Path: Pick a Scene that goes with your dragon with preference to ones that give Halloween / fall vibes.
I want the scene to look like her den as much as possible.
Pearlcatcher clans tend to have their own architectural styles but, owing to her incredibly insecurity as a failed necromancer, Forsaken no longer embraces or feels proud to display the style of architecture from the clan she grew up in. As such, her small den mimics that of the rest of the dragons of Angelspine Bluff. This means it's very open, in the middle of grain fields, with some vertical pieces to break up the scenery. I think the Drakeharvest scene fits best, it's just missing some stonework and marble pillars.
Lore Path: Pick a Vista that goes with your dragon with preference to ones that give Halloween / fall vibes.
To fit her broken image, I think the broken mirror vista fits best.
Lore Path: Pick a familiar that goes with your dragon with preference to ones that give Halloween / fall vibes.
Forsaken can be cruel to hide her insecurities, gloating over those she sees as more pathetic than her. You could almost call her a vulture; it should be no surprise that one is her familiar.
Lore Path: Add new content to your dragon's bio! Add at least 2-3 sentences or bullet points.
The above entries will be added to her bio. I'll add another few sentences for flavor.
Every day Forsaken toils away in a dingy research room, trying desperately to find a way to reverse her neutralization. She regrets ever wishing to be rid of her disease, cursing the Necromancer that freed her of the one gift a deity had ever given her. It would be better for one such as her, forsaken by two deities, to have perished as a ghoul than live with the embarrassment.
