Cotava

Cotava had taken Neon along with him mushroom hunting, as she had shown an interest in what fungi was edible, what could be used in medicine, and what could be used in spells. There were also more nefarious uses for some fungi, but Cotava decided Neon didn't need to know about that yet. Cotava had already gone over some basics with Neon, primarily that of "Don't eat anything without clearing it with me, first." Unfortunately, Neon seemed to have wandered off and Cotava was frantically trying to find her.

A distant exclamation of "Ooh, a faerie ring!" wafted over the breeze to Cotava's ears. "Neon do NOT!!!" Cotava took to the air, resisting the urge to tie himself into knots of anxiety as he flew.

"Cotava you have GOT TO TRY THESE! I can SMELL COLORS!" a giggling Neon exclaimed as Cotava dodged around trees and through branches to try and reach her before she ate anything.

Through the trees, Cotava got glimpses of a clearing, and Neon rolling around...naked?!?! in the middle of a ring of toadstools so brightly-colored they hurt to look at. Cotava skidded to a halt through the grassy clearing, stopping just short of the toadstool ring. He was too late, as Neon was very much feeling the effects of the Motley Molds. Cotava sighed and shook his head as Neon began to sing about asking the faeries to take her away. She definitely should not be flying in this condition.

"Come on Neon, let's head back to the lair." Cotava said, retrieving Neon's gear and basket, which was full of the colorful fungus. Cotava added a few more to his own basket, as several of the dragons enjoyed the psychedelic effects in moderation, under the supervision of others. Cotava gently rested one wing over Neon's shoulders, carefully guiding her back home as she giggled and tried to run off every few steps. It was going to be a long walk home.
