Camaka

||The 'First' / The Protector||



The first dragon to join the clan who was not of the clans own blood, she came from a brother flight and has gone on to become the protector of those who now live in the lair but predominantly she guards the hoard with another few dragons but her size allows her to zip around quickly and quietly in most respects. Stealthy and armed to the teeth with a mixture of light magic and powerful healing abilities she is a dangerous dragon to be on the wrong side of as you think you’ve taken down her alley only for a blinding spec to zoom past and heal the fallen dragon right before your eyes.

She was the only other dragon to ever breed with Opito, all of their children were sent to serve a higher power as the two felt too guilty to keep them in the clan. Opito saw her as a strong dragon who could have just as strong children. Sometimes dragon relationships just aren’t very complex. Kilde has never seen the pair as a bad thing or a threat but they still fear she might have been upset about it. Her relationship with Opito is strictly professional if you can call it that. The two along with the clans warrior, Sombra, are the regular team at the coliseum so the pair have worked out their differences and relationship through a lot of odd scrapes and difficult situations. They admire each other but as friends not partners and the relationship they now have is very healthy even if paranoia does creep up on Camaka from time to time. She holds a small solace knowing she has the elemental advantage over the pair but knows deep down they would have been rid of her if they really didn’t want her around.

Camaka is a great assistant to the healer of the clan but feels she is resented slightly as her healing comes from magic rather than a special knowledge and collection of herbs. Her powers are used for life threatening wounds that typical healing would take too long or have a small chance of helping in time, those who have been saved by her thought they were ascending to the heavens when they see her bright halo fluttering around them. The clans healer unaffectionately refers to her as Tinkerbell because of this routine.

A lot of Camakas time is spent training either her attacks or her healing. Some dragons like to basically be a crash test dummy and let her go full force on them only to heal them after, she doesn’t do it very often but some like to perfect their defence which works out sometimes. She’ll often insist on doing it to someone who is resistant to her magic as she then doesn’t want to bring them to the other healer to fix her mess. In her downtime she likes to rest in a small nest in a high up tree that grows from their floating home, she loves to watch the night sky and the odd occurrences that happen in the arcane land. Mysterious dancing lights make her feel at home and at ease. Because of this she likes to decorate her den in anything that glows, a way to win her affection is by gifting her something along those lines.
