Biography
"Zeraph, Bane of Existance"
Amongst all stars, none has a worst reputation than Zeraph.
Every creature in this universe must die, but not everyone can accept this fact. He has been called evil so many times by the grieving, He has been called unfair by those who felt their tima came too soon. But, he has also been called misunderstood by some Dragon folk. Pitied, even.
But Zeraph has no doubt in his mind. He does not regret his role, quite the contrary. He sees beauty in Death, for things must end before they can start anew.
He is not the Bane of Existance, The End of Life, he is the window that opens when a door is closed; A new path, he is responsible for renewing life, for making mortals enjoy their time on this world. He pities those who have eternal. Forever cursed with the fact that they will never feel the joy that only comes when you know you should enjoy what you have before it's too late.
He sees beauty in pain, for pain makes you stronger, makes you kinder. People do not appreciate the bad things that happen, if only they knew how much he envied them... As a Celestial, he knew he would never experience excitement, joy or pain.
Still, He does not blame the living for hating him. Grief is also very important. He doesn't mind being misunderstood, or pitied. All that matters is to see the beauty of life in it's entirety.
The good and the bad, life and death, beginning and end. No one can exist without the other.
And that balance is the most beautiful thing that is. He wishes Erawan could see that, that they are one and the same. Opposites, yet connected.
And that is his own curse, as he shall forever love The Bringer of Life, shall forever adore the animals, the plants and all they created... But His love shall never be reciprocated. Erawan shall hate him, all living creatures despise him.
You could call it cruel, but Zeraph would not have it any other way.
Love does not need to be mutual for it to be real.
...
"Does thou hate me, child...? Does thou despise Death? Or just its meaning?" Zeraph said to Platina, The Shiny Apostle.
The Silver Queen grimaced, expecting the Bringer of Death to be larger, scarier. A monster she could hate for killing so many of her people. She did not expect Him to be so... Small. She did not expet Him, of all the Constellations, to smile so gently at her.
She wanted to hate him. Blame him for the grief she was feeling. The pain of loosing her firstborn, so young, so full of promise. But seeing Zeraph, she could not.
Seing The Queen's suffering, the smallest of the Stars wiped away her tears, and, voice filled with honesty, said:
"It doeth not matter, for I loveth you nonetheless."
