___ It might be hard to believe, Elya will say, because it never happens, but I might have made a mistake. And this is a lie, as Elya frequently makes mistakes, but she is truly marvellous in how she vehemently denies it and argues her way out of any conversation attempting to acknowledge any mistake she's ever made.

She's just impressive like that, honestly.

Most frustratingly of all, she's got luck on her side- undeserved and wicked luck. Elya somehow manages to get through life's tough situations by sheer, dumb luck, and nobody can quite figure out why. It's a fact that her brothers hold an unholy amount of luck, too, passed down from their parents surely, but there had to be a limit. Right? Logic dictated that Elya should be cautious of continuing to rely so wholly on her luck, but Elya stubbornly pushes on, hellbent on seeing how far in life she can get solely with luck and good looks.

And that mistake she made? Didn't happen, of course, what in the world are you talking about?
