Biography
Gemstone paused, letting Flowerfall go first into the cave they had found. "Do we really have to go in there?" she asked. Flowerfall sighed. "Sorry to be the one to have to break this news to you, traveler, but YES. This lair is home of the bravest, the strangest, the most rainbow-loving, and currently you." she said. "Come on, we're the ones appointed to go in there, so we will."
They entered to find the whole room pitch-black.
A drop of water fell from the ceiling as they entered.
It fell into a pool with a little ploink that echoed around the cave until it sounded like a Imperial's roar.
Suddenly, the darkness cleared- only for a second, but still.
It seemed to be mist, Gemstone noted. She looked around and saw that the cave was immense- so large three of Luminax could get into it together, one on top of the other two with its heads raised up as far as they could, and still be comfortable.
It was barren of any life, and only a few large rocks could be seen. The stone making it was smooth like it had been polished by countless talons working day and night, and perfect for trapping echoes.
Then the mist closed in again, and everything was dark. Gemstone fumbled for her lantern and turned it off. A hissing noise reverberated through the cavern, and suddenly another glow appeared on the other side of the cave.
The greenish glow bounced toward them, and soon a interestingly colored purple Banescale appears. She is still a hatchling, and she seems very happy.
Earth had settled on the hatchling, giving her the appearance of having a second skeleton on the outside of her body.
She hopped towards them strangely, grinning happily.
Gemstone couldn't help noticing that one of her feet she kept sinking down on, as if it could not support her, and it was almost completely covered by the hardened stone.
She hops with her wings spread out, and the glow from her green scales is joined by a orange glow from the stripes on her wings quickly.
"Hii!!! Are you the ones Mamma said would come?" she asked. Gemstone shared a glance with Flowerfall. "Um... I don't think so, little one." Flowerfall said unexpectedly. Suddenly, Gemstone could see a sudden softness in the usually imperial and almost serious dragon's eyes. "Come on, we'll take you home and get you safe, all right?" she said.
This dragon was a sacrifice from an ancient Clan, chosen because of her disability and the fact that her parents were scared by her glowing scales, who was meant for 'the Fog', as they called the mist inside the cave. However, she survived for several hundred years in a sort of coma, waking up perfectly fine... and still a hatchling. Until she chose to grow up and turn into a different breed, of course.
Lore was written by SoaringFlame.
Named not because of her colors, but because Dandelions are often seen as weeds instead of pretty flowers.
She and Opal are getting along pretty well.
