"Dreamchaser"
Light and Ornament Maker
Summary:
When one visits the Snowdrifter Sancturary, they're bound to see glowing elegant and intricate statues, as well as the ornaments draped over the high cavernous ceilings which all give out a soothingly warm glow, as the main light sources of the entire cavern. Most dragons would picture a refined, professional artisan as regal as the creations, and get quite the shock when they see the actual creator of them all; Dreamchaser.
Backstory:
When she first hatched, it was said that the entire area was engulfed in thick, dark smoke. And even when she was a hatchling, all the other hatchlings would flee from her, calling her a monster and dubbing her the "Dreamchaser", for her appearance was so terrifying that she would supposedly even appear in one's dreams to haunt them. (That's obviously just a rumor, but I think that'd be a pretty cool power... heheh.)
Despite that, she tried to be nice to everyone she met, though most would just stare with disgust and fear. Doctors and Healers were wary yet intrigued by her situation, and most speculated that she might've been "shade-touched" when she was was still incubating as an egg. As the years passed, she was continuously met with mistreatment and judgement from the world regardless of how she acted.
The Banescale, now a grown dragon...
had ENOUGH.
She was tired of the teasing, she was tired of the rumors, tired of the abuse... She had enough. of. EVERYTHING. And so, Dreamchaser took on a life of a mercenary, choosing to relish in the thrill of gaining loot, risking limb and wing and gaining quite the reputation, embracing the cruel nickname gifted to her.
