What's an old dragon like me being among such young blood? It's a long story. Best way to put it was that I had a mate before. She was beautiful, very sweet, and I had vowed to protect her as my charge while we were in love. But as the days went by, I soon came to know that she was ill with something that prevented her from having hatchlings to raise, which was something she wanted to do. We talked about adopting hatchlings to raise instead before the beastclans took her away from me and I was left without a charge. Many guardians rot away with their destroyed charge, but not me.

I was lost and in an unhealthy rage, slaughtering the beastclans in pursuit of the ones that stole my happiness. By the time I had succeeded, I was pretty much empty inside. Catie soon found me and Sunrise, my distant cousin, directed me to this clan, figuring that I may find a new purpose in this clan or share my wisdom before I let grief take me.

I managed to find a new purpose as Sunrise thought I would; I had found young'ns in need of a fatherly figure that can raise them into a clan with a bright future. It's like my mate had wanted to do if she was here...

I don't know how many guardians have went ahead and found new charges, but it is a change I can look forward to with a smile. I've taken upon myself to become a battle instructor... Enough about me. How about you? Do you have some stories to entertain this old dragon?
