Venefica - Unrefined, Tempermental,

Venefica spent most of her life alone in the wilds, isolated from dragon society as she learned and practiced darker magics. She tasks herself with discovering poisonous plants and creating new and wicked potions. She seeks out magical creatures in order to consume them and accumulate their elemental energies within her own body.

Her nest was discovered by Thistledown's group while out exploring the dark and swampy forests of the Gladekeeper. Whereas most Fae dragons are quickly snapped up by Venefica, this one was the first to try to make conversation. In fact, Thistledown was the first person to attempt to speak to her in years. Bemused, Venefica accepted her apologies for intrusion into her lean-to den. The curious Fae couldn't help but ask about the large collection of dried plants adorning Venefica's lair. An animated conversation about plant collecting ensued.

Afterwards, to the dismay of the other herbalists, their Fae leader insisted on requesting Venefica's services as a guide to the foreboding swampland she called home.

After adventuring with these herbalists, Venefica began to feel at ease with them. She even caught herself experiencing a certain kind of warmth in their presence. With Thistledown close by, she found herself able to socialize, in her own strange way. Years of solitude had severely dampened her interpersonal skills. But, perhaps, the company of other dragons is not so unpleasant after all. Venefica asked to join them, to contribute her skills in combat and offer her potions for sale. Thistledown, overriding the complaints of the others, accepted her strange and unlikely friend into the clan. Contingent, of course, on Venefica agreeing to a list of important ground rules.
