Biography
Reina Brood mother |
"Oh goodness, just look at the time! The Sun must be nearly set by now!" the poison hued dragon exclaimed. Noting the hour glass on the mantle of the den, she hissed, cursing the time wasted away. Well, not wasted, per say, but time quickly slipped away from her. She knew the new hatchlings were going to need to be fed soon. Leaving the den, she quickly slipped away, leaving the mossy knoll behind her. She knew it was safe for the young ones to be left alone, but still, she always felt nervous leaving them be. Heading the the hoard, she quickly grabbed an array of food, mostly seafood for the young ones. Their long, snake like bodies could guzzle fish quickly, but she knew they needed to eat their full to grow up big and strong. Coatls tended to be especially hungry, she suspected that would be due to the fire in their bellies burning up the fish as it went down. Or at least that's what she would blame, Coatls were believed to be from the Ashfall Wastes, so being such warm blooded creatures would make sense. Reaching the lair, she noticed the sentry posted at the door. She nodded, as the male nodded back. He must have come as he saw her leave. She entered the cave to the small chirping dragons, rolling around on the floor together. They ran over to her as they saw her enter the cave, excited eye lighting up their small heads. Preparing the fish, the anxious youngsters pawed at her feet, waiting for their dinner. After crushing and deboning the fish, she moved back, letting the hatchlings at the food. Their shrill chirps resonated throughout the den as they ate their dinner. Licking her forelimbs clean of the fish residue, she waited for the young ones to finish their meal before she could start cleaning them and preparing them for the night.

Reina is a devout caretaker. She cares for the young of the clan as if they were her own. As one of the older members of the clan, she is full of knowledge and experience, hailing from the Lightning Farm. She's an intelligent, highly empathetic member of the clan, making her a good candidate to care for their precious young. However, she also has quite the sense of humour, finding the funny side in nearly everything, from simple pranks, to elaborate feats of nature. Her own colouration is simply due to a prank gone wrong, however she quite likes it and think she matched her wings much better now. |
