Lark shuddered as thick droplets of rain poured down his wounded face. He cornered himself into a bramble patch, barely making it into the nook as he felt himself grow weaker as time passed by. He lay there, frantic and in pain. How did I get here? Where am I? Lark buried his face in his paws, and let out a sigh. He was obviously in the dense thicket of pines in the Tangled Wood. Sharp jolts of pain rippled through his body as the droplets continued to pour on his open cuts. Just as he was about to accept his fate, Lark felt a gentle tap on his back. He flinched and drew back his lips, hissing wretchedly. If he was going to die tonight, then it wouldn't be because of some rogue beastclan. But as he turned his head, there wasn't a pohip or a serpent ready to beat him to a pulp; there was a guardian. A timid, soft-eyed, green female guardian.
