Nim*fay*uh - "Water Lily" Botanist | Gardener | Nature Ambassador
Backstory Being brought to Unia in the clan's earliest days, Nymphaea is considered to be one of its most important members, serving as the Nature Ambassador as well as an expert on plant biology and cultivation. Much of they're time is spent in the field, researching flora in different regions throughout Sornieth, though they often brings back specimens to study in their lab within the lair, and is often consulted on whether or not plants in the hoard are edible or strictly ornamental. They absolutely do not condone using plants for purposes that would cause harm to others, such as creating poisons, and will not advise anyone seeking to do so. The Queen's Garden, as it is referred to by the clan, was initially created by Nymphaea as a place for Nature and Wind dragons to feel more at home. They have several apprentices who help him to continuously develop and attend to this garden. This group is aided in this project by the clan's Water dragons, who were responsible for creating the lake. As a hatchling, Nymphaea was much smaller than other male Imperials and very soft spoken, with the latter being a trait that is still with them in their adulthood. Their new clan mistakenly believed that they were a female for quite some time, only learning that they were male as they matured. This left the question of why Nymphaea never corrected anyone. Because they are a very agreeable person, it is believed that they simply did not want to speak up. However, Nymphaea identifies as both genders, and is equally comfortable with either set of pronouns. This is something that is currently only known to those that are especially close to them, not because they are ashamed, but because they rarely talks about themself. If asked, however, they will try their best to explain how they feel. Their first love was Belgemine. However, things quickly fell apart after Borah made the suggestion that Nymphaea mate with a female Imperial from the Stardust Royale clan. The couple tried their best to keep things together, but Nymphaea's tendency to wander away from the lair for days or even weeks at a time further added to the strain. Thus, when they again mated with dragons that were not each other, it was by choice. Nymphaea had also explored his sexuality with another male dragon, and based on that experience, he decided that it was time to say the words that neither of them were taking the responsibility of saying. Admitting that it was over between them was a painful moment for Nymphaea, but through it all he had discovered himself and learned what he wanted. Saga turned out to be just that. Everywhere that he goes, she does as well. She is his best friend, his assistant, and biggest supporter. He does not know how to live without her at this point. But in all of his newfound happiness, the heartbreak has not ended. Nymphaea's youngest daughter with Saga was to join a neighboring Fire clan, but some time after she had left, a messenger from her new clan arrived to announce to Clan Unia that the procession of dragons had never arrived. For months, Nymphaea had to live with the torture of not knowing if his daughter was alive somewhere. The truth that Minerva brought to them did not take away the pain... He wants no part in Clan Unia's plan to deal with what happened, but he understands that this was an attack on their clan, and it can not go unpunished. Thus, he is silent by day, and cries against his mate's side by night. Nymphaea's constant companions, other than his mate, are Flora the Emerald Cave Jewel and Fauna the Citrine Cave Jewel. They can often be found riding around on his back or following him like two shadows.
