Her physical self draws attention often- she wears the stars above, after all, and more than one dragon has gotten lost watching how the skies shift and change on her scales in tune with the heavens above. And she allows it, to some extent, even if it’s turned into a tiring affair.

What she wishes they would notice is her mind, so full of ideas and creativity it’s bursting at the seams. She’s more than impressive scales, so much more than the shining, scattered opal fragments clinging to her scales, and it can be frustrating to know she’d never truly be able to make them see her as she sees herself. Because when she faces herself in the mirror, little ____ trilling happily as her companion always would during their morning gander in the looking-glass, she sees the swift way her pen runs over parchment when she designs new garments.

Creativity has always been her thing, but her interest in clothing only grew over the last few years of her life. At first it was art, paper upon paper filled with landscapes and portraits of dragons she met, and in time it slowly shifted as she stopped with the landscapes. Sketching strangers became an obsession, but she spent more and more time replicating their outfits rather than caring about how accurate everything else was.

And when she started altering those outfits, absently adjusting and changing and recoloring to fit what she thought would look better, she realized she didn’t care for the dragons at all. No, what she cared about were what they wore.

With ____ by her side, she’ll be carting around armfuls of delicate silks or thick wool, somehow turning drab squares of lifeless fabric into mesmerizing garments. Hand-stitched patterns and decor is one of her favorite things, the task of sewing the same sort of landscapes she once drew onto a cloak more satisfying than the scrape of charcoal over some parchment. What she does with all these garments she makes, one may wonder?

Difficult to say. But if you find someone has added some clothing to your wardrobe one night, it might just be the fluttering guardian with her starry wings.
