Her old clan, long forgotten, always urged her away. Would tear her away from the thing that lured her. And, perhaps, this was a good thing, but it's far too late for her. Both then, both now. Grace hungers for the unknown, hungers to know and be known, to be crushed under the ceaselessly harsh sky, to ride atop the starving, endless maw of the ocean... So, stealing off into the night, away from her home in Wind, she steals a boat. Her departure is silent, with no closure for anyone involved, excepting her. The storms light up before her, and she follows, eyes and heart full of wonder, and danger, a mouth full of lightening that she addicts herself to. Her blood sings with thunderstorms, with vast monstrosities made of lightening and elemental energies. They chase her, and she gives them their chase. She does not fear them, and they do not truly hunger for her. Well, they do, in a way. They would love nothing more than to tear her from her ship, to hoist her into the air, to paint stars and lichtenburg fractals into her wings and mane. And they do. They look upward, into the endless expanse of galaxies, watches The Shade writhe and probe at weakening barriers. And they jump. Grace does not hit the water. Lifted, grabbed by a hand that carries the scent of ozone, of lightening, and death, it draws her into the heavens. She contorts, twists, seizes as the electrical currents ravage her body and mind. But it will not allow her to die. This is their Becoming, their crystallization into a being so much MORE than a Dragon. ○°•○°•°•○○•°• GRACE •°•○○•°•°○•°○  |
