Nephele was raised in the Lightning flight with her parents and two siblings. They lived offshore maintaining a lighthouse as their residency. Nephele's father was a sailor who regularly ventured out on long journeys to bring back money for the family. Nephele's mother manned the lighthouse guiding her husband through the rocky path. Nephele took over the family "business" after her parents passed and her siblings decided to fly the coop.

A famous jewelry maker's boat was battered and beaten into the rocks in one rough storm, but Nephele's guiding light saved the jeweler from certain death. When he came ashore he introduced himself as Rune of the Fire flight. He wed Nephele shortly after and showered her with many gifts and treasures. One day they decided to travel the world and sell his jewelry to the less fortunate. When they came upon the Arcanik Clan Rune and Nephele decided to settle down for awhile and learn so that they might prosper in trades. 		xxxxx
