Biography
Michael's parents always said that his existence was a gift. With his father's warrior blood and his mother's blessing from the Windsinger, he is destined to bring success to his family's library of nightmares.
As a hatchling, it didn't matter that his family made their living off of fear. Michael still found himself afraid of the dark, afraid of spiders, blood, violence, and everything his family seemed to pass off as normal. He knew that if he didn't get over his nerves quick, he would be sent off to who knows where, never to see his family again.
Michale was only able to overcome his fear when one had begun to be much stronger than the rest. A mysterious creature with long twisted claws and spirals upon spirals twisting through its body began to haunt him. It would lurk in twisted reflections, and appear in his dreams beckoning him from a mysterious door. Upon waking from one of these dreams, Michael looked around to find a door that had never been there before. He knew he should feel frightened, but he was drawn to it. It practically begged him to open it and discover its secrets. With trembling claws, Michael opened the door and stepped inside.
He was faced with a maze of twisting corridors, the walls covered in framed mirrors. After a while he noticed they weren't all mirrors, but paintings of the very hallways he quickly became lost in. He walked for what seemed like forever. Any attempts at backtracking made him realize the corridors he had entered from were no longer there. The dread soon grew to terror when he turned into a new corridor and noticed a figure in the distance, standing at the end of the hallway miles away. It was approaching. The paintings and mirrors reflected the figure in the hallway as it walked towards Michael. The long twisted claws scraped across the walls and floors. Michael turned around to run away. As the figure approached, its reflection in the mirrors and paintings grew larger and larger. The twisting figure was closing the gap. Michael shrieked and clawed at the paintings, desperately trying to escape. The figure was almost upon him when something snapped in his composition. He turned towards the figure. Barely understanding what he was looking at, he gnashed his teeth and clawed at it like the cornered animal he was. Claws hit flesh, and Michael blacked out.
He awoke on the floor of his bedroom. Dehydrated and starving, he screamed and crashed through the lair. His mother Daisy found him first and leapt at the chance to help him. After calming him down and caring for him, Michael relayed his story to his mother.
Daisy and her mate Smirke knew something like this was bound to happen, but could never have predicted how it would manifest for their son. They were relieved he survived the encounter, but knew he may not be so lucky next time. Training needed to begin immediately.
His great grandmother Altoria began teaching him about the library. He learned about what it was his family collected, the treasure his parents would hunt for weeks at a time. With the help of Razzadoop of Copyright Keep, he battled many monsters in anticipation he would have to face his monster once again. He had no idea when his reflections had begun to warp with those familiar twisted claws, and endlessly twisting coiled body.
