"insert quote here"

A jack of all trades since he was a young hatchling, Melladion found his passion first in metallurgy. He was no stranger to the heavy workloads of the Great Furnace, being born into the labouring life of the Lightning Farms. As time went on his fascination with circuitry and artificial intelligence began to develop and he soon moved on from his metallurgy apprenticeship to study robotics, being one of the lucky few of his age to receive training directly in the Tempest Spire's laboratories.

Graduating from the Spire he joined the crew of an airship as one of their engineers, and moved with them to the Windswept Plateau. It was on this ship where he created most of his earliest constructs, and whilst most of them were built perfectly they tended to suffer greatly from programming errors in their AI. After some time he decided to retire away to somewhere quiet to work in peace, choosing Clan Guardianite for its location between Fire and Lightning. When Emerald came to him with a heavily damaged Spire scoutbot, Melladion decided to look more into artificial life as he worked to save it - not the circuitry or the metals, but their consciousness.

Ironic then, that he became swept up in a battle against a larger, more alien consciousness which threatened the safety of the Clan.
