Biography

Eidolon is an unusual dragon, even among the strange and misunderstood Fae. He keeps to himself and moves almost silently, deftly avoiding interactions with other dragons. He barely speaks, but what he does say is mildly ominous and annoyingly vague.

He is never far from his protector and mate, Celeste. An unusual couple, to be sure, but they make it work! Eidolon often helps Celeste with the finer details of her doings, putting smaller hands to work where hers would crush or scatter. In turn, Celeste protects him from the larger, rowdier dragons of the clan who are unaware of him due to his diminutive size and silent movements.

During a psychotic episode, Eidolon’s mother (a Shadow dragon) abandoned her clutch of eggs in a barren field on the border of the Scarred Wasteland and the Tangled Wood. The clutch was collected after several days by plague dragons intending to study the decay of the foetuses. Shockingly, one egg showed signs of life, and eventually hatched. He was the only one to survive.

The Plague dragons took his ominous blood-and-bone colouring and inexplicable survival as a warning and fled the area, leaving the newborn behind. Not a day later, a territorial scuffle erupted between another nearby Plague clan and a bordering Shadow clan, leaving four dragons dead and several injured. The surviving Shadow dragons took him in for a while, but soon afterwards misfortune began to plague their clan. Believing himself to be the cause, Eidolon left to protect them. He drifted between clans for a while until he encountered a Guardian from a mixed-species clan who took him on as her charge, and later, her mate.
