The Maintenance Guy
"I didn't really want this job. I wanted to go mining for conductive minerals, but this job gives me good pay so that's all I care about."
Hornfels went to the Shifting Expanse to look for a new home and a new job after his previous home was destroyed by Luminax.
The Lightning territory was much closer than the Water and Shadow territories, so he had no choice but to migrate south into the desert, and he was lucky when he was offered a job once he got to the main worksite in the heart of the Lightning territory.
He was hoping to be a part of a mining crew to dig up minerals, but he was instead given a toolbox and was told he could make repairs to the structures that needed attention. He was unhappy with his given job the first time he started working, complaining about the condition of some of the structures and the negligence in keeping them properly maintained.
After two years of working, he stopped complaining and accepted that he may not get his dream job anytime soon, and since he's getting good pay, he's willing to stick with this one for as long as he can work.
