Long ago, Diantha became cursed to be a gorgon, someone who has snakes for hair and was generally a terrifying figure. She spent centuries alone, away from other dragons as she had faced violent reactions. During her exile, she honed her skills of developing new and creative outfits, so beautiful that she would have been famous if it was not for her fear of others. Eventually, a fae stumbled upon her one day. This fae was strange, as her bones were sticking out of her skin like an exoskeleton, but was not in pain. This was the queen of the Isles of Memoria, who was out on an expedition. The Fae stumbled across some of Diantha's latest outfit designs and was smitten. Diantha was fearful to reveal herself but was surprised when Aphyria said there were many in her clan just like them, and regular dragons who accept them as well living in harmony. The the fae asked Diantha if she would like to come work for her as her personal tailor, which shocked Diantha. Ultimately, she accepted the offer; she was tired of being lonely and wanted a life where she can have friends, maybe start dating. Little did she know is that she would end up dating, and eventually marrying the Queen of the Isles of Memoria, Aphyria.

Diantha is a lonely dragon. She spent years alone and when she is feeling strong, negative emotions, she tends to isolate herself. Aphyria is trying to help her break this habit and communicate more, but it is a process. This caused some issues in the beginning of Diantha and Aphyria's relationship but now that this issue has been discussed, their relationship became much more smooth. On the pther side of the coin, Diantha is extremely creative and good at unconventional problem solving. She is also excitable, she finds the small things in life as a delight.
