Candrima learned at early age how dangerous bonds are. Her birth clan faced a fierce rivalry with a neighboring Earth clan, both founded by brothers. Trade and commerce happened between the clans, despite the tension. Candrima never really got herself caught up in dramas that arouse. Instead, she found survival quite easily as a bystander. By taking no sides and playing whatever fiddle was necessary at the time, Candrima could procure whatever favor she needed.
Eventually, though, the situation offered more risks than rewards. Candrima set off in search of an easier life. Her arrival into clan Alzada'al, however, was mostly unnoticed. The keep already had the essentials and there was natural class divides amongst the dragons. The only "have-nots" Alzada'al craved was more luxury. Candrima could do luxury. With her own taste for the finer things, a keen eye for gossip, and knowledge of foreign products, Candrima easily cornered the Alzada'ali market of their biggest missing luxury: wine.
These days, you'll find the sommelier seamlessly blending into gaggles of nobility, listening, nodding, and offering just the right comment to ensure her business.
