Biography
KEEPER OF MALIGNUS- THE BARD
Crooner- a vulturekin that has a link to the afterlife- they will patrol battlefields, outskirts of towns and the aftermath of disasters and plagues to collect the dead, ferry the souls to the afterlife with their haunting croons.
the presence of a Crooner is normal- but the more there are with no discernible cause is something to worry about.
Crooners are necessary, but have a very bad reputation because of their link to death, their collection of corpses and presence during tragedy- but without them, undead would run rampant and disease and rot would permeate into society. They are pest control, they tend to the swamps and use the dead matter of their collections for research and spare mass/tissue/organs should they be salvageable.
Not every Vulturekin is a Crooner, but you will never know if you saw one. When working as a Crooner, their identities are entirely obscured and do not speak.
Crooners are welcome to keep any possessions not claimed- though this can definitely be abused. Many of them loot their dead and keep valuables- its a mark of their character...but whose business is it?
